Reversing the Aging Process

Did you know that by 2025 the global antiaging market is supposed to reach $55 billion.  There are so many lotions and potions being sold all around the world to slow the aging process, including anti-aging creams, anti-aging serums, and anti-aging supplements. But one of the most cost effective and overall healthy ways to promote antiaging is by simply getting hydrated.

We will all age, unless we die young, and we can make choices that are antiaging.

Drinking Water

Everyone is always looking for the Fountain of Youth.  We are living longer, and we want to live vibrantly.  Plastic Surgery is booming as are many serums and potions to support us looking and feeling younger.  One of the simplest tricks for antiaging is often overlooked.  Drinking Water is an antiaging solution.

In January of this year, CBS News in Miami did a report on how drinking lots of water can reduce the effects of aging, based on a study published in the National Institutes of Health.  The study was done on mice, and when their water intake was restricted, it shortened their lives by six months, which the study stated would correlate to a 15 year reduction in life for humans.  This study looked at the sodium levels, which run higher when we are not properly hydrated.

About half the people around the world do not consume the recommendation of water each day, so when it comes to aging, this is a problem.  More than 50% of your body is made of water, and it is needed for our digestive processes, hormone and neurotransmitter production and balance, and the delivery of oxygen throughout the body. It is obvious that water is essential to our health and well-being. In order to live long and strong, we have to increase our water intake.

We all want to live well and most of us want to look good as we do it.  For both women and men the appearance of wrinkles is a sad part of aging.  That is why so many people are getting plastic surgery today.  Did you know that being hydrated can decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  Drinking water is one of the most efficient and effective treatments.

Hydration

Water is the best way to hydrate the body.  It keeps you feeling refreshed and as it is doing that, it keeps the skin more elastic. Proper hydration can work wonders on your skin, leaving you with a radiant glow. In fact, many skincare experts believe that hydration is the key to maintaining youthful-looking skin, because when we are not hydrated, our skin looks dull and can lead to premature aging.

Alkaline Water

Water flushes out toxins and free radicals, which speed up aging.   When we drink alkaline water, it penetrates the cells and lushes out the toxins and pathogens.

Hydration improves the elasticity of our skin.   As we age, skin gets saggy and wrinkly.  Drinking water helps increase the collagen production, which in turn increases our skin’s flexibility.

Not all water is created equal. Alkaline water, which has a pH level greater than 7, has gained popularity for its purported health benefits, including improved hydration. The reason for this is that alkaline water consists of water molecules that are smaller in size, allowing them to be absorbed more easily by our cells. This means that alkaline water can provide our bodies with the hydration it needs more efficiently than regular water. Additionally, alkaline water contains essential minerals such as calcium, potassium, and magnesium, which are important for maintaining good health.

Within 15 minutes of drinking water, you can start feeling the benefits. However, if you are really dehydrated, it can take 45 minutes.

Even increasing your water intake by 2 -3 cups per day can affect your intake of fat, sugar, salt, and calories.  Empty sugary calories are replaced.

Drinking more water is important, because as we age our bodies change. Consuming more water helps compensate for changes in our body temperature regulation.  And dehydration leads to muscle pain, fatigue, and heat exhaustion.

Looking significantly younger than your chronological age is not just an illusion.  Your skin can actually age at a slower rate.

Clinical Trials Regarding Collagen

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to age more gracefully than others? A recent dermatological study may hold the answer. Researchers have found that individuals who appear significantly younger may have better cell renewal when it comes to collagen production.

Collagen is a protein found in the body that is responsible for maintaining the elasticity and firmness of the skin. As we age, our collagen production naturally declines, leading to wrinkles and other signs of aging. However, those who are able to renew their collagen production more effectively may be able to maintain a more youthful appearance for longer.
